We are proud to present our fourth year of
The Writing Residency Program 2020 - 2021

The program furthers our commitment to the development of new Black playwrights for the American theatre.

We will select four early-career playwrights and provide them with dramaturgical and professional support over a ten-month period, during which time they will each be required to complete a new full-length play.

WELCOME!

Black artists who are new to playwriting or new to the city especially need mentors.  We need champions and advocates that will help us feel connected in an industry that often leaves writers of color feeling isolated.  The Writing Residency Program with Liberation Theatre Company (LTC) provided me not just with a place to create but a family to lean on."       Liz Morgan, Playwright & Actress
